As part of its “Charge Safe, Ride Safe” initiative, NYC DOT has installed public battery-swapping and charging cabinets for e-bikes and scooters at Cooper Square, Essex Market, and Plaza de las Americas—allowing delivery workers and riders to safely charge batteries outdoors with FDNY-approved infrastructure.
